The Hunter Douglas Group includes more than 120 companies in over 100 countries, employing around 16,000 people. They are the world leaders in the manufacturing and distribution of blinds and window coverings – and their corporate website has to be many things to many people.
Talk about multiple audiences. Here was one site which: to architects and engineers provides inspiration and is a trusted technical resource to journalists, is a valuable resource for stock information and financial reporting to dealers, offers vital sales and marketing support to consumers, is a style gallery, dealer locator and ecommerce retailer. And it’s a global careers hub. So, what we had to do was make sure everyone could find what they wanted quickly – making the whole user experience slicker, smarter, more intuitive.
All that information has been successfully curated into a digital experience which doesn’t feel like the huge library of resource it actually is. It is now impossible to disappear up navigational dead ends thanks to clear, unfussy signposting. Lots of video content smooths the journey and delivers information in a more engaging way.
